Blair Vernon

Chief Executive, New Zealand Wealth Management

Blair has over 25 years’ experience in financial services in New Zealand and Australia. Blair joined AMP in 2009 and held a number of senior executive roles before becoming Managing Director in January 2017. In February 2019, it was announced that Blair was appointed CEO of New Zealand Wealth Management, with continuing responsibility for AMP Life operations in New Zealand as the business concludes the transition to Resolution Life.

Mark Ennis

Chief Executive Officer, AdviceFirst Limited

Mark has over 20 years’ senior management experience in financial services, including leadership positions in strategy, marketing, customer service and technology. Mark is responsible for AMP’s associated AdviceFirst business, which helps individuals, families and businesses with all types of Insurance, KiwiSaver and Investments, he joined AdviceFirst in November 2013 bringing his specialist skills to help develop the business and its service for customers. Mark holds a First Class Honours Business Studies degree from Massey University, majoring in Marketing.

Jeff Mitchell

Chief Financial Officer

Jeff is a Chartered Accountant with more than 15 years’ financial management experience in roles covering businesses in New Zealand, England and Ireland. Prior to joining AMP as Financial Controller in 2017, Jeff held a range of financial performance and control leadership roles with the ASB Bank. Jeff leads AMP’s finance team and uses strategic financial insight to drive better, long term decisions for our customers and other stakeholders.

Dhaya Sivakumar

Chief Operating Officer

Dhaya is an experienced leader, having held senior management roles across a number of industries, including travel, tourism, telecommunications, financial services and health care. Dhaya leads AMP’s IT and customer service teams in delivering information technology and customer service solutions to support AMP’s people and customers through digital innovation and transformation.

Tim Pritchard

General Legal Counsel

Tim has more than 25 years' legal experience, particularly within financial services. He started his career as a litigation solicitor with Baker & McKenzie in London before moving to New Zealand. Prior to joining AMP as Head of Legal in 2011, Tim held relevant roles with The National Bank of New Zealand and ANZ.

He was awarded a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of Cambridge. Tim has been involved in many regulatory reform projects, significant contentious matters and innovative growth initiatives. In his role as General Counsel, he leads AMP's Legal and Governance team, shaping regulatory strategy and overseeing legal, governance and compliance matters.

Jeff Ruscoe

Chief Client Officer

Jeff started with AMP in 2002 and has held a number of roles including General Manager Customer Service and General Manager Product and Marketing. Jeff is responsible for serving AMP’s customers through its marketing, retention and product initiatives.

Jeff’s career in financial services includes roles in strategy, sales, distribution and product at AMP and marketing and investment roles at the Medical Assurance Society and the Public Trust.

Melanie Smith

General Manager, Employee Experience & Corporate Services

Melanie has more than 15 years' Human Resources experience and has led HR teams for a variety of companies across industries including airline, retail, telco and primary.

Melanie has responsibility for AMP’s corporate services functions and leads the design and delivery of AMP's people strategy that delivers a competitive edge, and empowers AMP's people to both deliver strong business results and develop great careers.

Thérèse Singleton

Executive General Manager, New Zealand - AMP Life

Thérèse has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry both overseas and in New Zealand. She is qualified as a lawyer in Ireland, England and New Zealand and has been with AMP since 2003. During that time she has acted as the General Counsel for the business for 7 years, and the General Manager of Investments and Insurance for 2 years. Prior to be being appointed as Executive General Manager for AMP Life in 2019, she held the role of General Manager Advice and Sales.

Simon Hoole

Chief Financial Officer - AMP Life

Simon has more than 20 years of experience in financial services. He joined AMP in 1998 as Finance Planning Manager in Australia and subsequently took over the role of Financial Controller and then Group Finance Director in 2008, before moving to New Zealand and becoming Chief Financial Officer in 2014.

In 2019, Simon was appointed Chief Financial Officer for AMP Life. Before joining AMP, Simon started his accounting career with Deloitte Haskins & Sells in the UK, before moving to Australia in 1986. Still with Deloitte, Simon spent two years in Papua New Guinea before joining MLC in 1991. In 1995 he became Financial Controller of MLC Lifetime Limited.
