Jack Regan

Group Executive, Advice and New Zealand

Jack has been with AMP in Australia and New Zealand for the past 18 years and chairs and serves as a director and member of a number of subsidiaries within the AMP Group. He leads AMP Limited’s Advice and Direct businesses and has responsibility for AMP’s operations in New Zealand.

Jack was Managing Director of AMP in New Zealand for 10 years and became a New Zealand citizen in May 2013. He has graduate and post-graduate qualifications in marketing, education and the securities industry and has worked in distribution, marketing and operational roles at St. George Bank, IOOF and GIO as well as Hillross. Jack started working life as a teacher and has since spent more than 30 years in financial services.

Blair Vernon

Managing Director, AMP New Zealand

Blair joined AMP in 2009 and became Managing Director in January 2017. Blair was previously AMP’s Director Retail Financial Services, responsible for sales, customer service, marketing and supporting AMP’s extensive Adviser business networks including Spicers and AdviceFirst. He has also held roles with AMP as Director of Advice & Sales and General Manager Marketing and Distribution. Blair has over 25 years’ experience across the Financial Services sector in New Zealand and Australia.

Thérèse Singleton

General Manager
Advice & Sales

Thérèse has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry both overseas and in New Zealand. She is qualified as a lawyer in Ireland, England and New Zealand and has been with AMP NZ since 2003. During that time she has acted as the General Counsel for the business for 7 years, and the General Manager of Investments and Insurance for 2 years. She has held her current position of General Manager Advice and Sales for almost 2 years. She is a current member of the NZ Government appointed Code Working Group and a director of all AMP Financial Services NZ Companies.

Simon Hoole

Chief Financial Officer

Simon has more than 20 years of experience in financial services. He joined AMP in 1998 as Finance Planning Manager in Australia and subsequently took over the role of AFS Financial Controller and then Group Finance Director in 2008, before moving to New Zealand and becoming Chief Financial Officer in 2014.

Before joining AMP, Simon started his accounting career with Deloitte Haskins & Sells in the UK, before moving to Australia in 1986. Still with Deloitte, Simon spent two years in Papua New Guinea before joining MLC in 1991. In 1995 he became Financial Controller of MLC Lifetime Limited.

Simon is responsible for AMP’s actuarial and finance teams and the claims administration team.

Mark Ennis

Chief Executive Officer, AdviceFirst Limited

Mark has over 20 years’ senior management experience in financial services, including leadership positions in strategy, marketing, customer service and technology. Mark is responsible for AMP’s associated AdviceFirst business, which helps individuals, families and businesses with all types of Insurance, KiwiSaver and Investments, he joined AdviceFirst in November 2013 bringing his specialist skills to help develop the business and its service for customers. Mark holds a First Class Honours Business Studies degree from Massey University, majoring in Marketing.

Tim Pritchard

General Legal Counsel

Tim has more than 25 years' legal experience, particularly within financial services. He started his career as a litigation solicitor with Baker & McKenzie in London before moving to New Zealand. Prior to joining AMP as Head of Legal in 2011, Tim held relevant roles with The National Bank of New Zealand and ANZ.

He was awarded a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of Cambridge. Tim has been involved in many regulatory reform projects, significant contentious matters and innovative growth initiatives. In his role as General Counsel, he leads AMP's Legal and Governance team, shaping regulatory strategy and overseeing legal, governance and compliance matters.

Michael Beattie

General Manager, Strategy

Michael has over 15 years’ experience in senior strategy development and implementation roles within the financial services industry, in New Zealand and Australia. Michael leads the design and delivery of AMP’s business strategy and led the transition of AMP’s wealth management business into the Financial Markets Conduct regime.

Helen McDowall

General Manager, Customer Service

Helen has spent more than 20 years working in financial services institutions both in New Zealand and Australia. Over that period she has worked in product development and a number of customer services and operations roles. Helen joined AMP in 2011 to lead the investment product and customer service teams and was appointed to her current role in 2015.

Jeff Ruscoe

General Manager, Product and Marketing

Jeff started with AMP in 2002 and has held a number of roles including General Manager Customer Services and Chief Customer Officer. Jeff is responsible for serving AMP’s customers through its strategy, marketing, retention and product teams.

Jeff’s career in financial services includes roles in strategy, sales, distribution and product at AMP and marketing and investment roles at the Medical Assurance Society and the Public Trust.

Melanie Smith

General Manager, Human Resources

Melanie has more than 15 years' Human Resources experience and has led HR teams for a variety of companies across industries including airline, retail, telco and primary.

Melanie leads the design and delivery of AMP's people strategy that delivers a competitive edge, and empowers AMP's people to both deliver strong business results and develop great careers.
