The ways AMP distributes products
Our Advisers cover a range of topics and specialities, and are available across New Zealand.
Where you’re dealing with Advisers not directly employed by AMP, they’re still representatives of AMP and provide the level of service you’d expect from us.
Employed Advisers in the AMP Qualifying Financial Entity (QFE)
AMP Services (NZ) Limited provides financial Adviser services through AMP employees or AMP Adviser businesses (who are salaried employees of AMP).
AdviceFirst offers financial advice and planning. AdviceFirst advisers work across Auckland, Waikato, Manawatu, Wellington and Canterbury.
Independent Financial Advisers
AMP also distributes financial products through Independent Financial Advisers in addition to those mentioned above. They are not part of nominated representatives the AMP QFE. AMP’s QFE does not take responsibility for any financial adviser services provided by them although they are still regulated by the Financial Markets Authority (FMA).
The financial advice process
Once you’ve got in touch with an Adviser, they’ll contact you to discuss your business and go through your goals. They can then customise their recommendations, which come in a document called a Statement of Advice (SOA).
The SOA might suggest new products or strategies for your business, or make changes to existing products. It’s completely up to you to choose whether you want to use their advice.
