In New Zealand AMP began its proud history of providing life insurance policies back in 1854, when the population of New Zealand was less than 100,000 people. Our customers were mainly farmers and miners.
Since then we’ve come a long way and we are now one of New Zealand’s leading life insurers and retirement savings providers. Our customers hold more than 870,000 investment, savings and insurance products with us, meaning that on average, we have a relationship with one in four households across New Zealand – that’s a pretty broad reach.
Our promise to our customers is to help people own their tomorrow – be it through recognising their idea of financial freedom, planning for retirement, helping to improve financial literacy levels or protecting their lifestyle, the people or things that are important to them. Our aim is to put our customers at the heart of everything we do in order to help them realise their goals.
But actually realising these goals seems to get more and more complicated. Many of our customers don’t know how to get from their today to the tomorrow they want. This is where they’d welcome our help.
