Can I be awarded a Study Start Scholarship before applying to study?Show more
We need to see your intention and clarity around the dates that you are aiming to pursue your study. If you are successful at receiving an AMP Scholarship, we will ask you to send us quarterly updates over the 12 months following receiving the funding, to update us on how the funding is helping you to pursue your study goals.

If the region you live in is not showing in the dropdown box, please select the region nearest to where you live. We are dedicated to working with our AMP aligned Advisers to offer you the chance to receive a further $5,000 Regional Scholarship in selected regions. Can I apply for more than one Scholarship?Show more
You can only apply for either:
- A National Scholarship;
- OR a Study Start Scholarship (open to Year 12 or 13 students only);
- OR an AMP People Scholarship (open to AMP staff, AMP affiliated Advisers and their immediate families only).
How can I remove my application?Show more
Application submitted? Log in and click on the 'withdraw my application' button on the right side of your application profile. If you wish to remove your voting profile from our system, email email@example.com with your request, name and details and our admin team will be in touch.
I can't access my application but have not yet completed itShow more
- Sign out and sign back in to your profile using the email and password you used to create your account.
- You will then be able to access your application and select 'Edit' to make changes.
- Click on the grey 'Back' button to scroll to the relevant page you want to amend.
- Once you have made your changes, submit your application. Please make sure this is done before 13 August 2018.
I have completed my application, but can't submit itShow more
Once you have completed all the fields in your application and uploaded a profile photo, you need to read the AMP Scholarships Terms & Conditions and tick the box to acknowledge that you have reviewed and accepted them. You will then see a tick box next to the AMP Scholarship you have applied for, which you will need to select before clicking submit. Remember to submit your application before 13 August 2018.

Check that the image is a .jpg or other 'standard' file format, and under 4 MB. Upload and then press ‘Save’ at the bottom of the page. Still having difficulty? Some older versions of Internet Explorer may have difficulty with the application form. If you're using a newer web browser, email your profile picture to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll look into it for you.
Can I email through any supporting documents for my application?Show more
For the first round of judging, we'll be judging solely from the application form. If you're chosen as a finalist, feel free to bring along any supporting material to your interview.
What kind of referee is required, when will they be contacted and do I need to provide a written reference?Show more
Please provide two referees that know your character and who are familiar with the dream you wish to pursue.
Don't worry about sourcing written references just yet. If you're a finalist, we'll be contacting your referees.
When do I fill in the Parent / Guardian form?Show more
Under 18? Make sure you have parental consent to apply. If you're chosen as a finalist, the Parent / Guardian form on our website will need to be filled out prior to your interview.
Who is eligible to apply?Show more
Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents and they need to have resided in New Zealand within the last five years. All applicants need to do is prove they're passionate and determined to do their thing. AMP Study Start applicants must be in Year 12 or 13 at high school and plan on studying at a New Zealand tertiary institute. Can I apply if I’m a Kiwi living overseas?Show more
Yes, if you haven’t been residing outside of New Zealand for more than five years at the date of your application.
I applied for a Scholarship last year. Can I apply again?Show more
Yes, if you applied last year you may apply again. However, previous AMP Scholarship recipients (including recipients of AMP Adviser affiliated Regional Scholarships) are not eligible to apply.
Do your Scholarships cover teams or groups?Show more
AMP Scholarships are for individuals only - so you can still apply, but you'll be judged on your individual merits.
When does People’s Choice voting open and close?Show more
Voting opens Monday 1 October and closes Sunday 21 October 2018.
When is the AMP People's Choice Scholarship recipient announced?Show more
The AMP People’s Choice Scholarship recipient will be announced at the National awards event on Thursday 25 October 2018.

How do I tell how many votes an applicant has?Show more
You won’t be able to see how many votes an applicant has. The AMP People’s Choice Scholarship’s website will be updated with details of the applicants with the highest number of votes as of the relevant date.

Fraudulent votes and cheatingShow more
We'll be checking votes and monitoring the AMP People's Choice Scholarship voting process for invalid voting records or patterns. Any entrants who commit voting fraud or source votes illegally may be disqualified. If you are aware of any fraudulent voting, please contact us on email@example.com.
Can I vote for more than one person?Show more
To keep things fair, AMP People's Choice Scholarship voting to limited to one vote per person.
Can I change my vote?Show more
No, once a vote has been submitted, it may not be changed or withdrawn.
