Introduction

1. These terms and conditions (the Terms) apply to the “AMP digital home, landlord or contents insurance GiftPay digital gift card promotion” which will run from 1 January 2024 to 15 December 2024 (the Promotion). By participating in the Promotion as an Eligible Person (defined below), you agree to these Terms.

2. The Promotion is being offered by AMP Services (NZ) Limited (AMP), with registered offices at 29 Customs Street West, Auckland 1010, New Zealand.

3. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

4. In these Terms “you” or “your” refers to the reader or participant in the Promotion.

What is the Promotion offering?

5. If an Eligible Person successfully purchases a new AMP digital home, landlord or contents insurance policy online between 1 January 2024 and 15 December 2024 they will be automatically entered into the draw to win a GiftPay digital gift card worth NZ$1,000 (the Prize).

Who is eligible for the Promotion?

6. The Promotion is only open to Eligible Persons. A person is an Eligible Person if:

a) they successfully purchase a new AMP digital home, landlord or contents insurance policy online between 1 January 2024 and 15 December 2024;
b) their policy is still active on 15 December 2024; and
c) they are aged 18 or over at any time during the Promotion (being from 1 January 2024 to 15 December 2024).

7. A person is not eligible for the Promotion if they:

a) purchase an AMP home, landlord or contents insurance policy over the phone;
b) purchase an AMP home, landlord or contents insurance policy with the assistance of an external adviser and/or broker;
c) have an existing AMP digital home, landlord or contents insurance policy as at 31 December 2023;
d) are staff (including contractors) of AMP Services (NZ) Limited or Vero Insurance and their immediate families;
e) are Advice First staff (including contractors) and their immediate families; and
f) are Enable Me staff (including contractors) and their immediate families.

An immediate family member means a spouse or partner, parent, or child.  

Other terms of the Promotion

8. The Prize will not be paid as cash or otherwise redeemed in any other way and it is not exchangeable or negotiable, nor is it transferable to any other person.

9. You have a choice of retailers to redeem the Prize from, which can be found here. The terms and conditions of the chosen retailer will apply to the Prize. 

10. AMP may, in its absolute discretion and for any reason whatsoever, accept, reject or postpone the processing of any application for insurance. The applicable insurance terms and conditions will apply to applications for insurance.

11. AMP reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or attempting to act in a fraudulent or otherwise dishonest manner and to disqualify any entry in its sole discretion without giving reasons.

12. AMP reserves the right to extend, change or terminate this Promotion or change these Terms at any time and in its complete discretion. Any revision to these Terms will apply to all new AMP digital home, landlord or contents insurance policy purchases after the date the revised Terms were published.

13. If AMP determines in its sole discretion that you have failed to comply with these Terms in any way, AMP may take any action it considers appropriate, including not providing you with the Prize, cancelling the Prize, and excluding you from further participation in this Promotion or any future similar promotions AMP may run.

14. In respect of any dispute regarding the Promotion or the provision of the Prize to an Eligible Person, AMP’s decision is final.

15. By taking part in the Promotion, you acknowledge that in making this Promotion available to you, AMP has not made any recommendations and has not given any opinions or financial advice as to the suitability of AMP products, including home, landlord and/or contents insurance to you (unless and to the extent you have asked for and received financial advice from one of our Insurance Advisers). The information provided in relation to the Promotion is of a general nature and does not constitute financial or other professional advice. You should make your own assessment about whether purchasing an AMP digital home, landlord or contents insurance policy is suitable for you and seek professional financial advice if you are unsure. 16. While care has been taken to ensure that the information provided in relation to the Promotion is accurate, no entity or person gives any warranty of reliability or accuracy, or accepts any responsibility arising in any way including from any error or omission.

17. AMP, its agents and employees, and any companies related to AMP including AMP Wealth Management New Zealand Limited, are not liable to any person for any loss, damage or liability whatsoever arising from or in conjunction with this Promotion.

18. No claim may be made against AMP, its agents and employees, and any companies related to AMP including AMP Wealth Management New Zealand Limited, in connection with any extension, change or termination AMP may make to any of the Terms of this Promotion.

19. All personal information that you provide to AMP when you purchase an AMP digital home and/or contents insurance policy (in order to become an Eligible Person of this Promotion) will be collected, stored and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

20. This promotional offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offers or discounts.

21. AMP home, landlord and contents insurance policies are underwritten by Vero Insurance New Zealand Limited. Insurance policy cover with AMP is subject to our standard underwriting conditions. Please refer to the policy wording for full terms and conditions.
