Most of your household contents are insured for replacement value (refer to ‘new for old condition’). We will either repair or replace your damaged item, without deduction for age, wear and tear (we will not pay for better standard, specification or quality).
If an insured event occurs, we will cover up to $1,000 for spoilage of refrigerated food, frozen food and refrigerated medicines.
Up to $1,000 cover for the loss or damage to contents owned by visitors a result of an event.
If you are a victim of identity theft, we will pay up to a maximum of $1,500 to re-establish your personal credit history.
These are automatically covered up to $2,500 per item with a maximum of $10,000. If you have items above this value, you have the option to specify them.
If you are permanently moving to a new address in New Zealand, your contents are covered while they are being moved for loss or damage caused by fire, flood, accident or theft of the vehicle carrying them.
Cover for your legal liability to pay for accidental damage to someone else’s property or bodily injury to other people. This is up to a maximum of $2,000,000 for property damage and $1,000,000 for bodily injury, wherever you are in New Zealand.
